So today we didn’t ride much. We have been on the road for over 2 weeks without a day off or even an easy day, and we needed one. We woke up late, and rode a leisurely 20 miles past the barking sea lions, you can see them if you look closely at the picture, to Arcata and checked in at the Arcata Inn.
We decided to forget about the schedule and just relax a bit. Arcata is a pretty cool little town with a quaint shopping district and cute downtown area. We walked around for a while, Molly shopped, we dropped off our laundry at a cleaner, and had a big dinner at the local brew pub.
The hotel were staying at is an old historical hotel from the late 1800’s and has that cool old time feel to it with the iron claw bath tub and hand made glass windows.

Be aware men, this movie is super long, so bring something to do. Overall the day off was great, we had sunshine and tons of free time away from the bikes. Tomorrow we’ll see how things go though to get us back on track!
