The Big Idea
Folly by definition is a foolish action or idea, the word absurdity and phrase "lack of sense" seem to continually arise. But what would life be like without these follies? Why not embrace these ideas and get a little nutty! This is my journal for those adventures, and along the way I hope to meet new people, take the path less traveled, have some fun, and spread the story of this sustainable journey we call life! Here you’ll find short anecdotes about my life, links to enlightenment, and opinions on how to have fun! I would love to hear about your folly, so feel free to e-mail me, I might just post them, and thanks for visiting!

Beach Time!!
So after our long hike and short stay in the cloud forests of Panama, we made it back to the beach. This time we opted for the Pacific side and ended up in a seemingly unknown place called Las Lajas. We immediately felt like we were in paradise and slowed down our pace a bit. Before we even set foot on the sand we felt the need to kick back and have a few beers with the locals.
Finding a place to stay in Las Lajas is a bit tricky. There really is not too much happening, and the actual town is about an hour walk inland. So if you ever plan on visiting this secluded part of the world be sure to stop and get any money or supplies you think you'll need, because there is nothing to be found on the coast. We did wander the beach long enough however to find our own little cabana to rent, and the owner of the property even cooked us food for the 2 days we were there.
(Panama's best beer in my opinion!)
(Watch out, dinner bites back)
We decided we were still hungry after dinner so we combed the beach and found a little crab and a few dozen muscles to eat. They were a great late night snack.
(Our sleeping arrangements)
Our cabbie really knew how to fix a flat, Travis being a "man" felt the need to lend a hand until the jack broke and the driver thought the flat wheel would work better to keep the truck upright.
