The Big Idea

Folly by definition is a foolish action or idea, the word absurdity and phrase "lack of sense" seem to continually arise. But what would life be like without these follies? Why not embrace these ideas and get a little nutty! This is my journal for those adventures, and along the way I hope to meet new people, take the path less traveled, have some fun, and spread the story of this sustainable journey we call life! Here you’ll find short anecdotes about my life, links to enlightenment, and opinions on how to have fun! I would love to hear about your folly, so feel free to e-mail me, I might just post them, and thanks for visiting!

Panama Adventure!!

So I decided to take a break and head to the beach this January. Travis, a friend of mine, happened to call me after Christmas talking about this volcano in Panama we could hike, so with the idea of playing in the ocean afterward I hastily booked a ticket from Denver to Panama City, Panama. A week and a half later I was boarding a plane, without a plan, without a travel book, and with an extra 7 days than my friend. I figured I would go a week early and get the lay of the land. These next few posts are the story of the two weeks that followed!!

The title to all of these posts is linked to Lonely Planet's Panama page, so have a click if you're interested in more information from Lonely Planet.

I'll also put in a few maps for you to have a gander at. You can zoom in and out as well as move the whole map around to see where in the world we actually were!!

Here is my first stop, Bocas Del Toro, on the northwestern part of Panama on the "Caribbean" side.
